Dear friends and members,
As we enter into another strong year for the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce we want to listen and understand the needs of our members. First and foremost that is our goal as a chamber to offer value to our members and to the communities we serve. We aim to do this by continuing on our core successes of the past and by executing our strategic plan to assist us in growing your businesses forward. We strive to do this by creating an open environment within our community that helps bring together the Latino businesses, local businesses, and other entities to cultivate relationships and networking opportunities for all of us to prosper.
Another goal in 2011 will be to enhance our educational components within the chamber. This is a goal that will help initiate growth for our small business members to ensure they are on a path to success. As we continue to develop and push forward for the profitable growth of our Latino population here in the state, we will continue to strive to assist and educate our members with value and opportunities to assist their needs. Our goal is to inform and support our business community about the successes of many of our local Latino businesses. It is our goal to help business understand that
"Hispanic business is smart business".
As chairman of the board I want to express my gratitude to the UHCC's board of directors for supporting our vision and for the trust they have bestowed upon me to lead the chamber this year. It is an incredible honor and privilege to serve in this role and to be able to work with such strong, passionate leaders within our community. As we work together to grow the chamber and its members business we are reminded through our sister entity the Somos Foundation that the long term growth and potential of the Latino community is through the continued growth and development of our young Latino people, who will eventually be the leaders of tomorrow leading our community needs and initiatives. Through our continued partnership with the Somos foundation we will maintain to support and educate our Hispanic youth within our state and give them the opportunity to develop and grow themselves.
I want to thank you for your continued support and for being partners with the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. We wish you continued success throughout the year!
Respectfully,
Nick R. Corral
Chairman of the Board
