    Job Description
    Brief Description: This position works under the direction of the Human Resources Director. The HR Technician will be responsible for providing routine and some non-routine continuous and repetitive clerical support to the human resources department, such as scheduling interviews, typing letters,maintaining files, fingerprinting, mail sorting and delivery, etc.

    Requirements: Develop the permanent personnel file for new employees. File personnel related paperwork. Schedule interview appointments. Perform reference checks. Perform fingerprinting of new and current employees. Type letters to applicants. Reproduce/maintain new hire packets. Assist with new employee orientation/completion of paperwork. Back-up for HR- related inquiries. Receives; sorts and delivers campus mail. Processes outgoing mail by properly weighting and administering proper postage. Arrange for (adding) incoming postage to mail machine from post office (keep track of low meter). Arrange maintenance of postage machine as necessary. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management. All applicants must successfully pass a background check.
    Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of work experience in clerical support position. Working knowledge of MS Office, email, and able to operate a Windows-based personal computer. Good communications skills. Work will require use of sound judgment. Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.

    Hourly Wage: $12.00 to $13.00
    Working Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
